(Oslo. 16. April 2010) An amazing 39,815,800 double jumps have been completed in the free on-line game Holmenkollen Ski Jump 2 since its launch four months ago. Activity peaked during the Holmenkollen World Cup.

Holmenkollen Ski Jump approved by FIS

(Oslo, 4 February 2010) Following an inspection on 3 February, the new Holmenkollen Ski Jump (HS 134) has been certified and technically approved by Wolfgang Happle, chairman of the Sub-Committee for Jumping Hills of the International Ski Federation (FIS).

The mayor is active for the World Championships

(Oslo, 27 January 2010) Today was the kick off of the “Aktiv til VM” (Active for WSC) project. 180 children from Rommen School joined the mayor and representatives from FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2011, the Association for the Promotion of Skiing and the Norwegian Ski Association.

Holmenkollen dressed in CRAFT

(Sarpsborg, October 30th 2009) New Wave Norway AS – mother company of sportswear brand CRAFT – has just signed a contract to become Official Clothing Supplier of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo 2011. The organizing crew and about 2500 volunteers will be all dressed in CRAFT at the brand new Holmenkollen venue.

Espen Bjervig is leaving FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2011

(September 9th, 2009) Espen Bjervig is leaving his position as Director of Sports at the World Ski Championships 2011, due to a very exciting offer from his previous employer. “We are sad to lose Espen. The sporting director’s role is important to us and he has performed it well. Fortunately there are some good candidates ready to replace Espen and we are already in dialogue with them,” says Åsne Havnelid, CEO of WSC 2011.
