The first national sponsorship agreement is in place!

Oslo Airport and Flytoget (the Airport Express Train) have bought the first of the World Ski Championships’ eight official main sponsor packages. “This is a very positive collaboration that highlights our role as hosts. Everyone who arrives at Oslo Airport and catches Flytoget will be welcomed by information regarding the World Ski Championships”, says Åsne Havnelid, CEO of the 2011 World Ski Championships.
The value of the agreement between Oslo Airport, Flytoget and the 2011 World Ski Championships exceeds EURO 250,000 and includes marketing material and exposure for the Championships at Norway’s main airport and in the airport express trains. In addition, Oslo Airport and Flytoget have agreed to be collaboration partners for the Trial World Ski Championships in 2010.
“The 2011 World Ski Championships is a great, national, positive event. We wish to contribute by taking on a role as hosts and at the same time we will have the opportunity to present our companies. Oslo Airport and Flytoget will be the first port of call for many World Ski Championships guests”, says Linda Bernander Silseth, CEO of Flytoget.
“We'd also like to inspire our employees and customers by taking part in this festive skiing event at Holmenkollen and Midtstuen”, states Nic Nilsen, MD of Oslo Airport.

A lot of interest from sponsors
The 2011 World Ski Championships have not been affected by the so-called “sponsor drought”. The rights in connection with the sponsorships for the 2011 World Ski Championships were established at the beginning of August and the first sponsorship agreement has already been signed.
“We have noticed a great deal of interest from Norwegian trade and industry. When it comes to sponsors for the Trial World Ski Championships, we already have agreements with DNBNor, Maxbo, Leca, Flytoget and Oslo Airport”, says Havnelid.
