Sponsors of World Cup!

On the 13th of March 2010, the New Holmenkollen national arena will open, hosting the FIS World Cup Nordic.“This will become a national event on the same scale as the opening of the new Oslo Opera House”, Marketing and Communication Director, Egil Storaas from Ski-VM 2011, says.


Ski-VM 2011 has now been given from the Norwegian Ski Association all of the commercial rights for the FIS Nordic World Cup 2010 at Holmenkollen for the 13th to the 14th of March 2010. Different sponsor products have been developed, such as arena advertising and start number exposure.

“The FIS Nordic World Cup at the new, fantastic ski arena at Holmenkollen will be a national event. We expect an estimated 30 000 spectators and up to a million TV viewers”, he concludes.

According to Storaas there has been great respons among Norwegian sponsors, especially among the companies that already are supporters of ski sports.
The following Norwegian companies have become sponsor for FIS Nordic World Cup: DNBNor, Obos, Maxbo, Leca, Weber, OSL and Flytoget. In addition Choice, Adecco, Coca-Cola, Craft and Polaris are partners.

There are now only two sponsorships available for FIS Nordic World Cup, and most likely these will be in place before the end of the year.
